Arab American National Museum

Jack Rouse Associates commissioned Be Media for the nation’s first education facility and museum dedicated to the contributions of Arab Americans in the U.S. Located across the street from Dearborn City Hall, this state-of-the-art, 38,000 square foot facility contains permanent and temporary exhibitions, an art museum and a 160-person theatre.

Three floors and 24 exhibit “vignettes” within the museum required very precise design, product specification and installation. Of important consideration was directing the audio of each exhibit to any number of participants while preserving a quiet intimacy. In addition, the goal of ensuring easy operability, maintenance and control of the technology, especially of the specially fabricated interactive items, was also achieved.
