The Ohio State University - Crane Cafe

The Crane Café is an essential part of the mission of the World Media and Culture Center: the development of advanced language skills through the understanding of the media of other cultures.

This mission is met with Be Media custom mounted and channel controlled dome speaker technology for individuals to listen to displayed programming in one of four offered languages. According to the institution, “Students can stop by to try out their language skills by watching broadcasts in the languages that they are studying, and participate in conversation groups in the Crane Café, and ... to watch a program that was assigned for class. Members of the community can also come to view news and other satellite TV programs from countries around the world shown on large screens throughout the Café.”
